Always Pan 2.0

One Pan to Rule Them All?

When it comes to cookware, I’ve always believed you only need 1–2 great pans in your kitchen: something like a trusty stainless steel, a heritage cast iron, or a reliable ceramic. After all, quality beats quantity every time. That’s what drew me to the Always Pan 2.0, a single piece of cookware that claims to replace ten. I was skeptical… and then impressed.

This 10.5-inch pan is shockingly versatile. You can use it to braise, sear, steam, boil, bake, strain, and sauté, which sounds like marketing fluff until you actually do all of that in one pan without breaking a sweat (or an egg yolk). It’s deep enough to roast a chicken but shallow enough to flip an omelet with confidence. The included steamer basket doubles as a colander, and the nesting beechwood spatula has its own little rest built into the handle. These tiny design touches make a big difference.

What really sold me, though, is the Thermakind® ceramic nonstick coating. It’s free from PFAS, PFOAs, lead, and other sketchy chemicals, which makes it a great alternative to traditional nonstick pans. It’s also oven-safe up to 450°F, so I can take it straight from stovetop to oven without reaching for another dish. Everything from eggs to sticky starches slides right off with minimal oil and zero sticking.

So far, it’s accumulated a few dings, but only to the exterior. In other words, it still functions as well as the day we bought it.

TL;DR

The Always Pan 2.0 might not be a “Buy It For Life” product in the heirloom sense (like cast iron), but it’s absolutely a buy-it-smart product. Its versatility and toxin-free materials make it a minimalist’s dream and a small kitchen’s best friend. If you’re trying to reduce clutter, cook more, and invest in gear that truly earns its keep—this pan delivers.
